I encourage children to be confident, independent and develop their own self-esteem. I organise activities to support the children's play and learning and to use their imagination, develop their language and mathematical thinking. We visit parks and playgrounds and encourage interaction with other children of a similar age group.
We have a designated playroom for the children. This is where the majority of the arts and crafts are done. There is also access to outdoor play in the large, secure garden with plenty of outdoor toys and
games. We also have a large
wooden play area (see picture).
Walks and outings are also a
regular part of our day. These
include trips to the park and
other local attractions (weather
permitting).
Arrangements are made for quiet rest times or sleep for younger children.
